PER VIEW is a photographic book project created in light of Pestana's Group centenary celebrations of Valle Flôr Palace, one of the most beautiful hotels in Lisbon, Pestana Palace Hotel.
With thisislove’s art direction, the project went to capture possible or imaginary situations that could have taken place in the palace's fantastic rooms, materialized in a book focused on a timeless, humorist and sometimes controversial visual language. With about 70 photographs taken by Cátia Castel-Branco, with António Branco's assisting creative direction and Joana Areal, the book is a slide show where the photographs fill entire pages and spreads. The captures at the final were written by Tiago Manaia, help identify the situations as well as suggesting parallel meanings.
With a contemporary graphic language to compliment, the book also includes some texts contextualizing the project written by the photographer Cátia, Tiago Manaia and Dionísio Pestana, the executive director of Pestana Group.

The Prietzels

This is the couple that bought most of the paintings in the hotel. The Prietzels are Danish but they’ve already travelled all over the world. They’ve been together for 53 years, they do everything together and they inspire each other. They wear the same colours everyday. "It's the heart’s agreement, the mind’s agreement", says Katharina Prietzel. There's a suite named after them at the palace.
